Create a website services

You’re a writer but you don’t have a website.

What a mistake.

In today’s world writers not having a good-looking website are akin to inferior writers even though, on the basis of their writing, they’re superior writers.

In short: you should have a website. Period. But creating a website, even though it’s a lot easier now, is still hard and confusing for new writers.

WordPress has made it possible to create good-looking websites easily and cheaply. But there are many people who are confused with WordPress’ capabilities.

Should you have a blog? Of course. But how to effectively manage the layout between blog posts and static pages? How to get a good-looking free theme? Sounds tough, doesn’t it.

So that’s what I’m here for. I create affordable WordPress websites with optional blogs. Having a blog is not necessary, even though it’s highly recommended. But if you want just a simple website, that can be done easily.

Here’s what you’ll get

  • Built on WordPress: There’s no denying that WordPress is the most feature-complete platform on which to build a website or a blog. So why use inferior alternatives when you can have the real thing? All the sites which I build will be built on the power of WordPress.
  • Using good themes: By default, all sites which I build will have free themes, but I choose only good themes. Themes which are relevant for the topic, themes which actually have good design. If you want a premium theme framework like Genesis, you must pay extra (details below). But as I mentioned before, I’m flexible. Don’t want to pay premium? I’ll give you a great free theme which you can use before expanding later to premium frameworks. Want to use premium from the beginning? No problem.
  • Optional blog: Having a blog is recommended. But if you don’t plan on having one, it’s easy enough to adjust WordPress’ layout to have a site full of static pages instead of posts, and I’ll do it for you.
  • Fast service: I work quickly. You’ll get your site done in under two weeks. Have a problem with the theme, or not liking so-and-so? It’s not an issue, email me and we’ll fix it out.
  • A site which you can be proud of: I don’t make sites which look cheap, as if they were designed in the 90s. No, I make sites which are professional, which will support your content and not hinder it. Responsive design, good-looking footers… we can handle it.

What you’ll need

  • A domain name. You can get domain names from various sites like NameCheap or GoDaddy. If you don’t have one and are in doubt, be sure to email me so I can point you to the right place.
  • A hosting package. If you don’t have hosting right now, don’t worry. Email me and I’ll send you to the right company for maximum uptime and optimum service.

Rates

Currently, rates start from $100. If you want a premium theme (such as Genesis), you have to pay extra. Contact me for details.

Get started

Simply contact me mentioning your idea of a website. If you already have a domain and / or hosting, be sure to mention it. Then we’ll work from there.

I have other services for writers including proofreading and editing as well as critiquing, so be sure to check them out.
